The Boss MD-200 Digital Modulation pedal is built for players who want a broad palette of modulation sounds without committing excessive pedalboard space or setup time. Twelve modulation modes cover chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, rotary, vibrato, auto wah and more, each voiced to deliver clear movement without smearing the core guitar tone. The 32-bit internal processing and 96 kHz sampling ensure modulation remains defined and stable, even with deeper depth settings or stacked effects.
Dedicated rate, depth and level controls make it easy to shape modulation in real playing situations, while mode-specific parameter knobs allow deeper adjustment without menu diving. This design encourages quick, repeatable sound changes rather than slow programming. The insert loop adds a layer of flexibility often missing from compact modulation pedals, allowing external drive or effects pedals to be placed before or after modulation on a per-preset basis, which has a noticeable impact on texture and response.
