Boss KTN-25 Katana 25 25W 1x8" Practice Digital Guitar Combo Amplifier

Katana Tone and Effects in a Compact 25-Watt Home Amp

The BOSS KTN-25 Katana-25 condenses the Katana platform into a compact 25-watt combo built around a custom 8" speaker and reactive analogue power section. BOSS Tube Logic is designed to reproduce the way a valve amp responds as you change your picking strength and guitar volume, giving clean sounds plenty of detail while driven tones retain punch and dynamic response rather than feeling flat or overly processed.

Six amp characters cover sparkling cleans through to high-gain Brown-style sounds, with a dedicated setting for acoustic-electric instruments. More than 60 BOSS effects are available through BOSS Tone Studio, with up to five running simultaneously, so modulation, delay, reverb and other processing can be built directly into your presets. The amp stores 30 Tone Settings, including 20 ready-to-play sounds and 10 locations for your own setups.

For home practice, Power Control switches between the full 25 watts and 0.5 watts, letting you push the amp harder while keeping room volume under control. Bluetooth audio makes it easy to play along with music from a phone or tablet, while the BOSS Tone Studio app opens deeper editing, Tone Exchange access and the Session function for practising with YouTube content. An onboard tuner, tap tempo and dedicated headphone/recording output keep the everyday workflow simple.

USB-C also turns the Katana-25 into a class-compliant recording interface for direct connection to a computer or mobile device, so the same sounds you practise with can feed straight into a recording setup.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Katana-25 is particularly well suited to players who want one compact home amp for practice, tone exploration and direct recording without giving up the responsive feel and flexible effects that make the larger Katana models so useful.
