Magnetic Punch with More of Your Guitar’s Body in the Mix

The Baggs M1 Passive is a soundhole magnetic pickup that does more than just hear the strings. Its suspended secondary coil also reacts to movement from the guitar top, blending body resonance with the magnetic signal so the amplified sound keeps more of the warmth and character you hear from the instrument itself.

That body-sensitive design gives you a strong, focused sound that can cut through a loud band mix while remaining highly resistant to feedback. Adjustable pole pieces let you balance the response across different string types and gauges, and the humbucking design keeps operation quiet.

The passive M1 needs no battery or onboard controls. A built-in 3.2 mm (1/8") jack makes the pickup easy to remove, while the included 0.61 m (2') strapjack assembly supports permanent installation. A 3.05 m (10') cable is also supplied for temporary, no-modification use, along with spare pole pieces and a 2.4 mm (3/32") Allen key. An external preamp is required.
