Capture the Banjo’s Attack Directly from the Bridge

The Baggs Passive Banjo Pickup replaces your existing bridge with a 15.9 mm (5/8") maple bridge that has a vibration sensor cast directly into its centre. That puts the pickup right where the strings and vibrating head interact, helping it capture the sharp attack, projection and dynamic response that give a banjo its character.

Because the pickup and bridge form a single unit, energy transfers directly through the bridge rather than relying on a separate sensor attached elsewhere. The result is designed to keep the amplified sound full and balanced while still following the way the banjo responds when you pick harder or back off.

The system is completely passive, with no onboard controls or power required. A custom jack and mounting system are included, and an external preamp is required.
