True Pitch-Shift Vibrato with Classic and Expanded Waza Craft Modes
The Boss VB-2W Waza Craft is an all-analogue vibrato pedal that recreates the pitch-shifting movement of the original VB-2 while adding a new Custom mode. Standard mode delivers the vintage VB-2 sound, while Custom mode introduces a different vibrato character built around a unique filter wave for players who want to push the effect further.
Its BBD, or Bucket Brigade Delay, circuit creates the vibrato by passing the signal through a chain of analogue delay stages and modulating its pitch. Rate and Depth set the speed and intensity, while Rise Time controls how quickly the vibrato fades in after activation. An optional expression pedal can also control Depth in real time.
Latch gives you conventional on/off operation, while Unlatch keeps the effect active only while you hold the pedal down, making it easy to add vibrato to individual notes or chords. Bypass mode removes the BBD section from the signal path when the effect is off to avoid its inherent delay. The pedal is made in Japan and uses buffered bypass.
