More Natural Stick Response with Quieter Practice Feel

The Yamaha XP80 is a 203.2 mm (8") three-zone electronic snare/tom pad built around Yamaha’s Textured Cellular Silicone head. The TCS surface uses air bubbles within the material to cushion each stick hit, helping reduce playing noise while absorbing shock to take some of the strain off your wrists and elbows.

Under the sticks, the TCS surface is designed to mimic the feel of a coated drumhead rather than giving you a hard, plastic response. Its floating playing surface also improves sensitivity, so light ghost notes, accents and dynamics from ff down to pp can be picked up clearly. Three zones cover the head, open rim and closed rim for more expressive triggering.

The XP80 measures 260 mm (10.24") wide and 77 mm (3.03") high, with a tom mount hole and standard stereo phone output. A clamp bolt, stereo phone cable and owner’s manual are included.
