Fluid Revstar Playability with Expressive PAF Dynamics and Expanded Switching

The Yamaha RS20MM Matteo Mancuso Signature Revstar pairs a Flamed Maple top with a chambered Mahogany body, giving the guitar a resonant, weight-relieved platform beneath its Vintage Sunburst finish. A set-in 3-piece Mahogany neck with carbon reinforcement uses a Satin Polyurethane finish, 304.8 mm (12") Rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, while the 628.6 mm (24.75") scale keeps the feel familiar and responsive.

DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary humbuckers are chosen for long sustain and an expressive response to picking dynamics. The 5-way selector goes beyond conventional dual-humbucker switching: positions 2 and 4 introduce a subtle phase shift by slightly delaying the opposite pickup, creating distinct in-between sounds.

Pulling the Master Tone engages the passive Focus Switch, which reshapes the response to behave more like an overwound pickup, reducing some top end while adding mids and lows for a thicker, more aggressive voice. Locking tuners, Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece complete the setup, with a deluxe gig bag included.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this signature electric guitar is ideal for players who want articulate humbucker response, fast control changes and enough tonal range to move quickly and comfortably between detailed clean work and heavier rock tones.
