The bridge single coil produces crisp attack and clear separation for rhythm work, while the neck humbucker adds depth and fullness for lead playing. The Focus Switch changes the single-coil response to a thicker, more overwound-style voice, increasing midrange presence and output for driving an amplifier harder.

The alder body is shaped using Yamaha’s Acoustic Design technology, where carefully engineered routing improves resonance and vibration transfer through the neck. That construction gives the Yamaha Pacifica SC Standard Plus a lively character, with notes sustaining naturally and responding well to subtle picking changes.
