The bridge single coil provides sharp attack and snap for cleaner rhythm work, while the neck humbucker delivers fuller body and warmth for thicker lead tones. Engaging the Focus Switch changes the single-coil response to a more overwound-style voice, adding midrange weight and output that pushes an amplifier or pedal chain more effectively.

The alder body uses Yamaha’s Acoustic Design technology to improve vibration transfer between the body and neck. This routing and chambering approach increases resonance and sustain, giving the Yamaha Pacifica SC Standard Plus a lively response that translates clearly through an amplifier. The Rounded C maple neck with satin finish, combined with a 12 inch rosewood fingerboard radius and medium jumbo stainless steel frets, provides a smooth playing surface that supports relaxed rhythm playing and faster lead work. Gotoh locking tuners and the compensated three-saddle brass bridge help maintain stable tuning and strong string-to-body energy transfer.
