Warm All-Mahogany Body Tone with Dreadnought Projection
The Yamaha FG850 NT in Natural Mahogany gives the FG dreadnought platform a warmer, woodier voice through its all-Mahogany body construction. A solid Mahogany top is paired with Mahogany back and sides, producing a distinctive midrange richness with a rounded acoustic character that suits strumming, songwriting and vocal accompaniment.
The dreadnought-style body provides strong projection and a full acoustic response, while Yamaha’s newly developed scalloped bracing helps the guitar resonate with openness and balance. Mahogany body binding adds to the cohesive look, matching the natural gloss finish and reinforcing the warm, earthy design.
The Nato neck has a matt finish and is paired with a Rosewood fingerboard, 400 mm (15 3/4") radius, 20 frets and a 650 mm (25 9/16") scale length. A 43 mm (1 11/16") urea nut, Rosewood bridge, die-cast chrome machine heads and tortoise-pattern pickguard complete the acoustic setup.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this Yamaha FG850 is a great choice for players who want warm Mahogany tone, strong dreadnought projection and a natural wood-focused look.
