The Yamaha EAD20 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module expands what you can do with an acoustic kit without surrounding it with microphones and cables. Its newly developed sensor unit attaches at the bass drum hoop and captures the complete kit with a natural, balanced sound, making the system practical for headphone monitoring, PA amplification, practice, recording and live performance.

Built-in sound shaping and effects let you customise the kit in real time, while automatic setup optimises microphone levels and trigger sensitivity with minimal adjustment. Electronic pads and triggers can also be incorporated for hybrid acoustic/electronic performances and a broader range of sounds.

For recording and content creation, the USB audio interface supports multitrack recording, DAW integration and streaming. Yamaha’s Rec’n’Share app provides a streamlined path from recording performances to editing and sharing video, while the EAD Touch app offers intuitive sound customisation.
