Meet the Yamaha BB735A from the 700 Series, a 5-String Electric Bass that sets the standard for working professionals with its versatile active/passive pickup configuration, three-band EQ, and a host of features designed for exceptional playability and tone shaping.

Crafted with an alder/maple/alder body construction, the BB735A ensures exceptional resonance and sustain. The hard maple centre enhances midrange tones, allowing your bass to cut through the mix with precision. The 6-bolt mitre neck joint, a signature feature of the BB700 series, fuses the neck and body more efficiently, contributing to outstanding sustain and resonance.

Equipped with YGD custom V7 pickups with Alnico V magnets, this bass produces a thick yet penetrating tone. The active circuit, featuring a specially tuned active/passive circuit, provides fine tonal control and flexibility. The circuit has been retuned for crisper tones, improved mids, and a seamless transition between treble control and master passive tone. The Convertible Bridge and Saddle of the Vintage Plus bridge offer versatile setup options. Strings can be strung through the bridge or body, with convertible brass saddles providing two angles for tone adjustments. The 5-piece maple/mahogany laminated neck ensures durability, sharp attack, and quick response, resisting warping and twisting. The BB735A features lightweight tuners for improved balance, complementing the smaller, lighter body. The slightly thinner neck enhances playability for both modern and traditional bassists.
