YAMAHA AC5RBy: Deon Slabbert on 29 August 2018I can only give this guitar 5 stars. The build quality is what you would expect from a handmade instrument. The sound is so much better and even than I expected. The spruce top looks beautifully aged. The neck feels good in your hand. Because it is a smaller body guitar, it suits fingerpicking perfectly. It even sounds great with flat picking. Personally, I would have preferred a less "pointy" pick guard and preferably a transparent one. I have 2 Martins and a Santa Cruz and I am not shy to put this Yamaha next to them. It competes head on with these expensive guitars at a third of the price. This is my fourth "handmade in Japan" Yamaha guitar. I still have the other three. I bought the first one in 1982 and I would not trade any of them!
