Short-Scale Feel with Warm, Focused Semi-Hollow Response

The 762 mm (30") scale keeps stretches compact and gives this used Höfner Contemporary Series Violin Bass a relaxed feel under your fretting hand. Its spruce top, flame maple back and sides and internal solid spruce sustain block combine the resonance of a semi-hollow body with extra focus and sustain, making notes feel more controlled than on a fully hollow bass.

Two Höfner Staple pickups deliver the rounded, woody response associated with this compact bass format, while separate Volume controls and Bass, Treble and Rhythm/Solo switching give you quick tonal changes from the control panel. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and set three-piece Maple/Beech/Maple neck keep the playing surface traditional and straightforward.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this used short-scale bass is best for players who want a compact feel, warm semi-hollow character and distinctive switching layout, with the included hard case adding useful protection for transport and storage.
