This hybrid combines the superior warmth and enhanced mid-to-low frequency tone of Walnut, with the well-defined and uncompromisingly solid attack of Birch. With 6mm Tom (4-ply Birch, 2-inner-ply American Black Walnut) and 8mm Bass Drum shells (5-ply Birch, 2-inner-ply American Black Walnut), these expressive kits are punchy, sweet and mellow. The Starclassic kits feature a number of other player-friendly features, like bearing edges which enhance resonance, an omni-ball tom holder, air cushioned floor tom legs, quick-lock tom brackets, and the Star-Cast tom mounting system.
