The Tama TGHS1465S SNT Star Reserve G-Mahogany is a 14" x 6.5" limited-edition snare drum built around an extra-thick 9mm, 11-ply African mahogany shell with an outer ply of Tineo. The thick mahogany shell gives the drum a warm, full-bodied tone with a deeper and richer response than thinner shell designs, making it well suited to players who want weight, depth and strong shell character from a wood snare.

The 6.5" depth adds body and presence, giving backbeats and accents a broader voice while still allowing the drum to respond musically at varied dynamics. To preserve the mahogany shell’s open and resonant character, Tama uses 2.3mm Steel Mighty Hoops, which help draw out a longer, more open sustain rather than overly choking the drum.

MSL90TC lugs, MLS50A and MLS50B strainer and butt hardware, and MS20RL14C snare wires complete a focused, high-quality setup. The Satin Natural Tineo finish highlights the reddish-brown colour and vertical grain of the outer ply.
