The Tama CK50RSDRP Superstar Classic Maple Kit, in Dark Red Sparkle, comes from a long line of kits with groundbreaking design, with amazing build quality, tone, and projection. This 5-piece kit features 100% Maple shells - 6 ply at 5mm on the toms and snare, and 8 ply at 7mm for the bass drum. Maple shells produce a full, powerful tone, with rich resonance. This resonance is enhanced by Tama's Star-Mount system, which provides support at four points along the batter side hoop of the toms. Tama has also developed low-mass lugs for the Superstar kits, reducing the surface area that the lugs occupy on the shell, which further enhances resonance.
