Sterling by Music Man RAYSS4 StingRay Short-Scale Electric Bass Fiesta Red

Short-Scale StingRay Punch with Three Pickup Modes and On-Demand Boost

The Sterling by Music Man RAYSS4 StingRay brings the StingRay format into a compact 762 mm (30") short scale, giving the strings lower tension for smoother fretting and easier movement around the neck. A Sterling-designed Neodymium humbucker feeds a 3-way rotary selector with parallel, true single-coil and series modes, letting you move between distinctly different pickup responses without changing instruments.

A push-push volume control adds a 12 dB boost when you need extra punch and presence to cut through a mix, while a separate tone control keeps the layout straightforward. The Roasted Maple neck and matching fingerboard have a 241 mm (9.5") radius and 22 Medium frets, with a 38 mm (1.5") nut width that suits the compact feel of the short-scale design.

The Nyatoh body is finished in Fiesta Red with a White pickguard, while open-gear tuners, a six-bolt neck attachment and Sterling by Music Man-designed bridge complete the setup.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this short-scale electric bass is ideal for players who want easier fretting and lower string tension without giving up bold StingRay character, useful pickup switching or an extra volume lift when needed.
