Sterling by Music Man RAYSS4 StingRay Short-Scale Electric Bass Charging Green

Compact StingRay Playability with Three Pickup Voices and a 12 dB Boost

The Sterling by Music Man RAYSS4 StingRay combines a compact 762 mm (30") short scale with a powerful Sterling-designed Neodymium humbucker and passive electronics. The shorter scale reduces string tension for smoother fretting and easier bends, while a 3-way rotary selector changes the humbucker between parallel, true single-coil and series modes, giving you three distinctly useful responses from one pickup.

When you need to push forward, the push-push volume control engages a 12 dB boost for extra punch and presence, with a separate tone control for straightforward shaping. The Roasted Maple neck and matching Roasted Maple fingerboard use a 241 mm (9.5") radius and 22 Medium frets, with a compact 38 mm (1.5") nut width.

Charging Green and a White Pearloid pickguard give the Nyatoh body a bold, contrasting look. Open-gear tuners, a dual-action truss rod, six-bolt neck attachment and Sterling by Music Man-designed bridge complete the setup.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this short-scale electric bass is ideal for players who want lower string tension and easy fretting without giving up flexible pickup switching or the ability to add extra output on demand.
