Modern Bongo Playability with Flexible Dual-Humbucker Control

The Sterling by Music Man Bongo brings the distinctive Bongo design into the Standard Series with a contoured Bayur body and deep cutaways that keep the bass comfortable while opening up access to all 24 frets. Its 864 mm (34”) scale gives it a familiar full-scale bass layout, paired with a Roasted Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard.

Two ceramic humbuckers provide the core sound, with a pickup blend control letting you move between the two pickups or combine them to suit different parts. A 2-band active preamp adds further tonal adjustment without complicating the control layout.

The neck uses a 304.8 mm (12”) radius and measures 41 mm (1.61”) at the nut, widening to 65.4 mm (2.58”) at the final fret. A six-bolt attachment, dual-action truss rod, open-gear tuners and Sterling by Music Man-designed bridge complete the setup.
