The Slug Percussion BB-535R Armourphragm Batter Badge is a red single-kick impact pad designed to protect a bass drumhead without overly muffling its response. Made from durable, wear-resistant clear polycarbonate film, the Batter Badge creates a controlled diaphragm on the drumhead while giving the beater a reinforced contact area for heavier playing.

The vented six-arm shape and die-cut openings allow the pad to flex with the drumhead rather than simply stiffening the strike zone. This helps preserve the sweet spot where the beater lands while increasing attack, articulation and punch. Compared with a solid impact patch, the Armourphragm design prioritises head movement and tonal response alongside protection.

The larger 135.9mm (5.35") diameter gives players more room to position the pad around their preferred beater contact point, while the 0.51mm (0.020") polycarbonate film adds durability without excessive bulk. A high-strength adhesive backing bonds permanently to drumheads in new condition.
