Love the Black Hole Heads!By: Jay on 3 April 2025I have to keep the volume down because of neighbours, and bought a set of RTOM Black Hole heads which have been fantastic along with a set of Zildjian L80's. I can play with some acoustic feel and yet lower sound levels. I had the V1 bass drum 22" black hole head for some time and it was a bit annoying because it would tend to move around at times and not stay in position, plus it was a bit of a pain to put on and take it off. I wanted this V2 22" Bass Drum Black Hole head for some time, and finally got from Riffs & Licks. It is excellent! Much better to fit inside the bass drum and it stays in position perfectly as I play. Great improvement on the old design. I thought that I would not need the extra extender plate that the V1 used for the pedal, but sadly I still do need it, but with the V2, it is a lot easier and quicker for me to switch the pedal to the plate vs the bass drum hoop when switching to acoustic vs black hole kit. I am very glad I bought the V2 bass drum black hole and the black hole heads overall are awesome!
