The Roland FP-40 combines an 88-key PHA-4 Standard keyboard with Piano Reality sound technology for an expressive acoustic-piano experience in a slim, portable format. Fully weighted hammer action, escapement, Ivory Feel keys and triple-sensor detection give the keyboard responsive repetition and dynamic control, while the Piano Reality engine reproduces natural decay, resonance and tonal colour. A newly designed 12W-per-channel speaker system adds greater depth and richness through the lower register.

Built-in Wi-Fi connects the FP-40 with Piano Sphere, offering personalised guidance, real-time playing feedback, progress tracking, three guided courses and 100 included songs without an ongoing subscription. Bluetooth 5.4 Audio/MIDI and USB-C provide straightforward integration with phones, tablets and computers, while headphone and headset microphone support cover quiet practice, online lessons, streaming and content creation.

The FP-40 includes 305 internal tones, 256-note polyphony, Split, Dual, Twin Piano, metronome and onboard recording. An AC adaptor, DP-2 pedal switch, music rest and USB-C cable are included.
