The Roland E-A7 is built for performers who need a broad range of sounds and backing styles without digging through menus on stage. Its 61 velocity-sensitive keys access more than 1,500 tones and 600 Styles spanning Western music as well as sounds and arrangements from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and South America. The dual-screen layout keeps Styles on the left and Tones on the right, while dedicated buttons, six part sliders and assignable controls make quick changes much easier during a set.
Beyond the factory library, you can import WAV files or sample directly into the keyboard, then build your own user tones, drum kits and multisamples. Six pads can trigger phrases or tones, while onboard scale-memory buttons allow instant quarter-tone tuning and custom scale adjustments for music that uses non-Western tuning systems.
A microphone input with dedicated reverb and delay supports vocal performance, and the song player handles SMF, MP3 and WAV files. At 7.9 kg (17 lb 7 oz), it remains practical to transport. A music rest, AC adaptor and power cord are included.
