The Roland AX-Edge gives keytar players 49 full-sized keys with velocity and channel aftertouch, providing familiar spacing with expressive control over dynamics. Its ZEN-Core sound engine offers more than 500 preset tones and 320 user programs, with four parts plus a vocoder for splits, layers, leads, basses and vocal effects.
A pressure-sensitive pitch ribbon, modulation bar and assignable controls put bends, vibrato, portamento and sound changes under your fretting hand. Tone Remain keeps sustained notes and effect tails from cutting off when changing programs, making transitions sound smoother during live sets.
Bluetooth MIDI connects to the AX-Edge Editor app for wireless sound editing, while USB audio-file playback and master MIDI controller functions expand its stage setup options. The White model includes a Gold Edge Blade, strap and AC adaptor. Eight rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (not included) can provide approximately four hours of cordless operation.
