Road-Worn Character with Clear, Lively SSS Response
The Patina Guitars PS-6 combines three custom handwound Alnico V single-coils with a classic double-cutaway layout for snap, chime and distinctive in-between quack. Rated at 7k output, the pickups deliver clarity and bite across clean and driven sounds, with a five-way switch, one volume and two tone controls providing the familiar SSS range.
The quarter-sawn Roasted Maple neck uses a Modern C profile with a Satin Nitrocellulose finish, paired with a Rosewood fingerboard and 349.3 mm (13.75”) radius. Its 647.7 mm (25.5”) scale, 42 mm (1.65”) bone nut and 22 rounded-edge jumbo stainless steel frets give bends, vibrato and position shifts a smooth playing surface. Luminescent side dots help with orientation on dark stages.
The lightweight Paulownia body wears a Lake Placid Blue Nitrocellulose finish with applied wear for an already played-in appearance. A tremolo bridge, 19:1 locking tuners, Chrome hardware and Tortoiseshell pickguard complete the setup.
