HSS Versatility with Tight Drive and Bright Clean Detail

The Patina Guitars PS-4 HSS pairs two custom handwound Alnico V single-coils with a higher-output bridge humbucker for a broad mix of clean and driven sounds. The neck and middle positions bring shimmer and clarity to chords and picked lines, while the bridge adds the extra muscle needed for tighter overdrive, riffs and leads. Output across the HSS set is rated at 7k/16k, with one volume and two tone controls keeping sound shaping simple.

A quarter-sawn Roasted Maple neck with a Satin Nitrocellulose finish uses a Modern C profile, matched with a Rosewood fingerboard and 349.3 mm (13.75”) radius. The 647.7 mm (25.5”) scale, 42 mm (1.65”) bone nut and 22 rounded-edge jumbo stainless steel frets provide a smooth, durable playing surface, with luminescent side dots for darker stages.

The lightweight Paulownia body wears a Sherwood Green Nitrocellulose finish that can check and wear naturally over time. A tremolo bridge, 19:1 locking tuners, Chrome hardware and Tortoiseshell pickguard complete the build.
