Single-Coil Shimmer with Extra Muscle at the Bridge

The Patina Guitars PS-4 brings HSS versatility to a classic double-cutaway platform, pairing two custom handwound Alnico V single-coils with a higher-output bridge humbucker. The neck and middle positions deliver clear, shimmering tones for clean playing, while the 16k bridge humbucker adds more weight and drive without losing tightness or definition. One volume and two tone controls keep the layout familiar and easy to work with.

The quarter-sawn Roasted Maple neck uses a Modern C profile with a Satin Nitrocellulose finish, paired with a Rosewood fingerboard and 349.3 mm (13.75”) radius. Twenty-two rounded-edge jumbo stainless steel frets give bends and vibrato a smooth surface, while the 647.7 mm (25.5”) scale and 42 mm (1.65”) bone nut keep the overall feel familiar.

The lightweight Paulownia body wears a Black Nitrocellulose finish that can check and wear naturally with use. A tremolo bridge, 19:1 locking tuners, Chrome hardware, Tortoiseshell pickguard and luminescent side dots complete the setup.
