Single-Coil Snap and Chime with a Worn-In Nitro Feel

The Patina Guitars PS-3 combines three custom handwound Alnico V single-coils with a classic double-cutaway layout for clear, articulate cleans, focused drive and the familiar snap, chime and in-between quack of an SSS setup. Each pickup is rated at 7k output, with a five-position-style tonal range handled through one volume and two tone controls.

The quarter-sawn Roasted Maple neck uses a Modern C profile with a Satin finish, paired with a Rosewood fingerboard and 349.3 mm (13.75”) radius. Twenty-two jumbo stainless steel frets with rounded edges provide a smooth playing surface, while luminescent side dots help with positioning on dark stages. The 42 mm (1.65”) bone nut and 647.7 mm (25.5”) scale complete the familiar full-scale feel.

The lightweight Paulownia body wears a Black Nitrocellulose finish designed to check and wear naturally over time. A tremolo bridge, 19:1 locking tuners and Chrome hardware round out the setup.
