Paiste Colour Sound 900 Series Blue 18" China Cymbal

Explosive China Attack with a Dark, Complex Blue-Coated Voice

The Paiste Colour Sound 900 Series Blue 18" China Cymbal delivers a fairly dark, energetic response with an explosive, shattering crash and a complex, trashy wash underneath. Its washy stick sound gives accents an exotic edge, while the lively response helps the cymbal speak quickly when you want a pronounced effects voice.

Made from CuSn8 Bronze, also known as 2002 Bronze, it has a light weight, medium volume and medium sustain. The Colour Sound coating keeps the essential sound and flexible feel of the 900 Series while making the response slightly drier, shortening the sustain and bringing the attack into sharper focus.

The translucent Blue finish allows the natural grooves and hammer marks to remain visible while giving the cymbal a vivid stage presence. Its warm, full and focused character suits live playing and recording across a wide range of musical styles and volume levels.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this China cymbal is ideal for drummers who want a dark, assertive effects cymbal with a trashy wash, focused attack and distinctive Blue finish.
