The Meinl CY-RIVET-BR Sound Design Series Cymbal Sizzle Rivets set includes three brass rivets for adding extra texture and shimmer to a cymbal’s sustain. Rivets create a traditional sizzle effect by moving against the cymbal as it vibrates, extending the decay with a light metallic character.

The amount of sizzle can be adjusted by installing as many or as few rivets as needed. A single rivet can add subtle texture, while using multiple rivets creates a more noticeable sustained effect. This makes the set useful for players shaping ride cymbals, effects cymbals or other compatible cymbals for jazz, funk and a wide range of expressive playing styles.

Installation is straightforward: insert each rivet into a suitable existing hole and bend the lower ends outward to secure it in place. The pack is ideal for replacing missing rivets on a previously drilled cymbal or changing the response of a compatible cymbal that has been prepared for rivet installation.
