Big Dreadnought Projection with the Clear, Balanced Voice of a D-35

The Martin D-35 pairs a solid Spruce top with solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, including the distinctive three-piece back that has long set the model apart. Its D-14 Fret Dreadnought body delivers strong bass, clear trebles and rich overtones, with plenty of projection for strumming while still keeping individual notes defined.

Under the top, forward-shifted X-bracing uses 6.35 mm (1/4") Golden Era non-scalloped braces. That lighter bracing gives the top room to resonate, while the non-scalloped design keeps the response controlled and balanced rather than overly loose or boomy.

The satin Select Hardwood neck has a Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile with High-Performance Taper, joined to a bound Ebony fingerboard. A 645.2 mm (25.4") scale and 44.45 mm (1.75") bone nut give the left hand familiar Martin spacing, while the thinner fingerboard and gently bevelled edge improve comfort over longer sessions.
