Dreadnought Projection with a Shallower, More Comfortable Body

The Martin D-16E Mahogany combines the power and projection associated with a Dreadnought with the shallower depth and comfort of an Auditorium-style body. A solid Sitka Spruce top is paired with Mahogany back and sides, while forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing helps the guitar deliver a strong, responsive acoustic voice across strumming, flatpicking and accompaniment.

The Satin Select Hardwood neck uses a Modified Low Oval profile with High-Performance Taper, paired with an Ebony fingerboard and 44.45 mm (1.75”) nut. Its 645.2 mm (25.4”) scale gives the strings a firm, familiar response, while the 20-fret layout and 14th-fret neck joint keep the playing geometry traditional.

Martin E1 electronics provide volume, tone and phase controls for amplified performance, plus a built-in chromatic tuner that mutes the output for silent tuning. An Ebony bridge, Nickel open-gear tuners and a Softshell Case complete the package.
