The Macdaddy MDW2I "Wombat Inline" Stomp Box in Natural Finish is a rock solid, bottom end thumping beast, If you’re looking for a good quality well rounded kick to complete your sound then go no further than the Wombat. Just plug straight in to your mixer or amp, turn up and away you go (there is no need to DI these instruments, although if you wish to you can, the choice is yours). Of course they can be individually EQ’d to meet your specific tastes but the Wombat features our special pick up that has been designed for just this purpose.

The inline range of stompboxes allow you to plug a guitar into the input side of the stomp box and combine the output to a single channel on an amp or mixing desk. Ideal for those with limited channels, busking amps etc. You will be surprised at the result, maintaining a solid thump of the stomp box and the relative minimal loss to the quality of the guitar sound. Macdaddy recommend adjusting your input channel to get the best sound for your stomp box and then using the EQ in the guitar to compensate and brighten up the sound.

There are many things to love about camphor laurel. Firstly its aesthetics - a beautifully grained timber, boasting enormous colour variations. No two pieces are alike – and when you’re making hand crafted musical instruments, that’s a really good thing. Stompboxes are primarily the realm of acoustic guitarists (and acoustic guitarists love timber). Secondly, Camphor Laurel has a unique perfume. If you’ve never cut into a piece of camphor laurel, try it – the smell is amazing.

Thirdly and most importantly, Camphor Laurel is a noxious weed in Australia. It has the ability to adapt to a disturbed environment, grows at a prolific rate and has an enormous abundance of seeds. It is mildly toxic if eaten and therefore doesn’t have any natural predators. It is relatively immune to disease. Being a big shady tree it is difficult to remove and tends to create a single species environment because it is so dense. For all of these reasons Camphor Laurel needs to be cut down. The problem is, it’s growing faster than it’s being removed. Finally, Camphor Laurel has a tight grain yet is still a fairly soft timber, which produces excellent acoustic properties, making it ideal for Stompbox manufacturing. All of these factors make Camphor Laurel the perfect timber for MacDaddy's purposes.
