M-Audio Hammer 88 88-Key Hammer Action MIDI USB Controller Keyboard
Fully Weighted Hammer Action for Piano-Style MIDI Control
The M-Audio Hammer 88 is built for players who want the feel of a full-size piano keyboard when working with virtual instruments, sound modules and recording software. Its 88 velocity-sensitive, fully weighted hammer-action keys are designed to capture playing dynamics across a full 10-octave range, making it a strong fit for piano parts as well as broader MIDI performance.
Pitch and modulation wheels, a Master Volume fader and assignable Up/Down buttons put essential control within reach, while multiple keyboard zones support splits, layers and four-note chords from a single key press. Dedicated Sustain, Expression and Soft pedal inputs give you further performance control.
USB MIDI provides class-compliant plug-and-play connection with Mac and PC, while the 5-pin MIDI output lets you control compatible hardware synthesisers, sound modules and drum machines. The Hammer 88 is USB powered, and a music rest is included along with the Hammer 88 Controller Editor and bundled music-production software.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this MIDI controller is ideal for pianists, producers and students who want a realistic weighted keybed with straightforward control over both software and external MIDI hardware.
