Accurate Nearfield Monitoring with Room-Tuning Control
The M-Audio BX5 D3 is a bi-amplified 5" nearfield studio monitor designed for critical listening, mixing and music production. Its 5" Kevlar woofer handles the lows and mids, while a 1" natural silk dome tweeter sits in a computer-optimised waveguide for controlled dispersion and precise stereo imaging. Separate Class A/B amplifiers deliver 60W to the woofer and 40W to the tweeter for 100W total power.
A rear bass port extends low-frequency response, while the Acoustic Space control lets you reduce problematic bass build-up to better suit where the monitor sits in your room. The front positioning LED also helps you find the intended listening angle during setup.
Balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS balanced/unbalanced inputs provide straightforward connection to audio interfaces, mixers and other studio equipment. Frequency response spans 52 Hz–35 kHz, with a maximum peak output of 110 dB SPL.
