Extended Multi-Scale Tension for a Tighter Five-String Low End

The Legator HB5F Helio uses an 838.2–889 mm (33”–35”) multi-scale layout to keep the lower strings feeling firm and articulate while retaining a comfortable response higher across the board. That added tension gives heavy riffs and low-register lines a more controlled attack, making the bass particularly suited to modern playing where definition matters.

Its three-piece Hard Maple neck is paired with a Richlite fingerboard and flat 406.4 mm (16”) radius, providing a consistent surface for fast position changes and technical playing. Twenty-four medium jumbo stainless steel frets add durability and a precise feel under the fingers.

Legator Active Aftershock pickups provide the output and clarity for aggressive bass tones, while master volume, pickup blend and a three-band EQ give you direct control over level, pickup balance and frequency shaping. The Alder body carries a Burl Veneer top finished in Jupiter Burst, complemented by Legator Pro Series tuners and a Custom Brass bridge.
