Traditional Madrid-Style Proportions for Serious Nylon-String Study
The Katoh MM6 Advanced Series follows a Madrid-style classical design, pairing a solid Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides. Its Cedar neck has a D profile that gives the fretting hand a defined surface to work against, while the 52 mm (2.05”) nut provides traditional classical spacing for fingerstyle accuracy, independent voices and clean chord shapes.
A full 650 mm (25.59”) scale keeps the string response familiar for classical repertoire and technical practice. The Rosewood fingerboard has 19 frets, with a matching Rosewood bridge, bone nut and bone saddle completing the playing platform. Martinez by Der Jung tuning machines provide precise control when bringing each string to pitch. The natural inlaid wood mosaic rosette adds detail around the soundhole, while the High Gloss PU finish gives the instrument a polished presentation.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this advanced classical guitar is best for progressing players who want a solid Spruce top, wide 52 mm nut and traditional full-scale dimensions for focused technique and repertoire work.
