Ibanez V40CE OPN Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar w/ Pickup Open Pore Natural

Cutaway Dreadnought Projection with Straightforward Onboard Electronics

The Ibanez V40CE OPN is a cutaway dreadnought built around an easy, practical acoustic-electric setup. Its spruce top brings clear definition to the attack, while the Meranti back and sides add warmth and balance underneath. The Open Pore Natural finish keeps the presentation understated, and the cutaway gives your fretting hand more room when you move into the upper register.

The Meranti neck measures 21 mm (0.83") thick at the first fret and 22 mm (0.87") at the seventh, with a 650 mm (25.6") scale and 250 mm (9.84") Nandu Wood fingerboard radius. The Nandu Wood bridge carries Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, which use a bulb-shaped end for easier removal and installation while helping prevent the pins from being pushed in too far.

When you plug in, an Ibanez undersaddle pickup feeds the AEQ-2T preamp. Separate Bass, Treble and Volume controls let you shape the amplified sound directly from the guitar, while the onboard tuner can be used without connecting the instrument to an amp or PA.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the V40CE makes sense for players who want a full-size dreadnought with upper-fret access, simple tone controls and built-in tuning for practice, rehearsal and amplified performance.
