Slim SR Playability with Smooth Bartolini Bass Control

The Ibanez SR500A MHL in Mahogany Brown Burst Low Gloss is a 4-string SR bass built for players who want a fast, comfortable body shape with flexible active/passive tone shaping. The okoume body gives the bass a bright, solid sound, while the low gloss finish keeps the look understated and easy to handle.

The SR4 5-piece roasted maple/walnut neck is heat-treated for improved stability, durability and resistance to moisture and temperature changes. With a 864 mm (34”) scale, slim 38 mm (1.5”) nut width, rosewood fretboard, 305 mm (12”) radius and 24 medium frets, it feels quick across the neck without making the instrument feel cramped.

Bartolini BH2 pickups give the SR500A a tight bottom-end, punchy midrange and smooth response, with a dual-coil design and long blade pole pieces helping keep string-to-string output balanced. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ adds bass, mid and treble shaping, with EQ bypass for passive operation and a 3-way mid frequency switch for 250Hz, 450Hz or 700Hz focus.

The MR5S bridge allows +/-1.5mm adjustable string spacing around 19 mm (0.75”), making the setup adaptable to different right-hand preferences.
