Joe Satriani Versatility with Coil Tapping, High-Pass Control and Edge Tremolo

The Ibanez Prestige JS3CR Joe Satriani Signature combines a DiMarzio PAF Pro neck humbucker with a Satchur8 bridge humbucker for a wide-ranging two-pickup setup. The PAF Pro keeps the low end open and clean with enough treble to cut through a mix, while the Satchur8 provides the bigger voice developed for Satriani’s versatile playing style.

Pulling the tone control activates coil tapping for additional single-coil textures, while the push/pull volume engages a high-pass filter that helps retain treble as you roll the volume back. The Edge tremolo offers precise intonation adjustment and strong tuning stability, complemented by a locking nut and Gotoh machine heads.

The Maple neck has a Rosewood fingerboard with a 250 mm (9.84”) radius, 22 medium frets and Prestige fret edge treatment for smooth movement along the neck. Its 648 mm (25.5”) scale and 42.8 mm (1.69”) nut width keep the proportions familiar. A Hardshell Case and Ultralite Tremolo Arm are included.
