The Ibanez Bass Workshop UB804 BUL Upswing in Black Ice Burst Low Gloss is a fretless upright-style electric bass for players who want acoustic upright flavour without moving to a full-size double bass. Its small upright body shape, 864 mm (34”) scale length and neck-through 5-piece maple/walnut neck give it a familiar electric-bass scale with a more upright-inspired playing approach.

The maple wing body gives the UB804 a bright, clear foundation, while the jatoba fretboard adds rich midrange and crisp high-end response. The fretless surface lets slides, vibrato and expressive note shaping speak naturally, making it useful for jazz, acoustic-style sessions, theatre work, recording and more textured bass parts.

The AeroSilk piezo system is the key to its voice, with a Custom AeroSilk MR5 bridge designed to enhance the airy, acoustic quality associated with upright bass tone. Piezo active tone control gives you simple shaping from the instrument, and rear trim pots let each string’s piezo gain be adjusted individually.

The 30 mm (1.18”) string spacing gives the right hand plenty of room, and both the UB gig bag and TAMA Roadpro stand are included.
