Its Panga Panga fretboard, extending the entire length of the 30-fret-equivalent neck, features a beautiful wood grain for a tight low and mid-range, complemented by a sharp attack on the high end. The semi-hollow construction adds a rich acoustic character to the tone.

The exotic Flamed Maple top over an Okoume body delivers a bright and powerful sound. The Nordstrand Big Break and AeroSilk piezo pickups provide a full-bodied, powerful, and aggressive tonal texture with noiseless performance. The Ibanez 2-band EQ with Piezo active tone control allows precise control over the magnetic pickups and the AeroSilk Piezo system.

The AeroSilk MR5 bridge, designed to work seamlessly with the piezo pickups, enhances the acoustic "Upright" quality of the tone. Luminescent side dots make fretboard position marks visible on dark stages, and the extended 30-fret-equivalent neck opens up access to upper register notes usually only accessible on an upright bass.
