This is one of those designs; the Ibanez Bass Workshop SRC6MS BLL is a 28.5" - 30" (724 - 762mm) multi-scale monster crossover design, that doubles as a short-scale 6-string bass, and a baritone electric guitar.

The SRC6MS features an Okoume body, which looks incredible finished in Black Stained Burst Low Gloss, and makes a perfect foundation for the thick, meaty tones pumped out by a pair of Bartolini BH2 pickups. With an expertly balanced response across the strings, incredibly articulate and smooth response, a tight bottom-end, and punchy mids, these pickups are the perfect choice for this crossover design, and are equally at ease handling everything from jazzy licks to heavy riffs. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ lets you get the most out of these pickups, with an extremely straightforward EQ. The Boost and Cut for the Mid Control are each centered on slightly different frequencies, an innovation that delivers a preset range of the most favorable bass tones.The EQ bypass control offers precision tonal adjustments, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypass is activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit. The 3-way Mid frequency switch allow players to change the mid-tone between 250, 450, and 700 Hz. A super fast 5-piece Jatoba/Walnut neck, and Rosewood fretboard with 24 Medium frets, makes for speedy, unrestricted playability. Solid Ibanez machine heads and a Mono-Rail Bridge maximise playing comfort and tuning stability, and ensure accurate intonation.
