Multi-Scale 5-String Range with Tight T1 Pickup Definition

The Ibanez Bass Workshop BTB805MS FNL in Florid Natural Low Gloss is a 5-string multi-scale bass built for extended low-end clarity, strong sustain and detailed tone control. Its 939.8 mm to 889 mm (37” to 35”) scale gives the low B string extra length for firmer tension and clearer definition, while the shorter treble-side scale keeps higher-register playing comfortable.

The neck-through 5-piece maple/walnut neck with graphite reinforcement rods adds stability and long sustain, and the okoume/ash wing body with poplar burl top gives the bass bright, solid response with a striking natural look. A bound Panga Panga fretboard, 400 mm (15.75”) radius, 24 medium stainless steel frets plus zero fret keep the playing surface clean and durable.

The T1 pickups deliver tight bass response, punchy mids and clear highs, with individually mounted coils that can be adjusted for more nuanced tone shaping. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ adds bass, mid and treble control, with a 3-way mid frequency switch and EQ bypass for passive operation.

The MR5S bridge offers adjustable string spacing around 18 mm (0.71”), and the ergonomic T1 pickup shape makes thumb-rest playing more comfortable on the multi-scale layout. A hardshell case is included.
