The Ibanez AZ2204NW MGR Prestige Electric Guitar, finished in Mint Green, takes adaptability to new extremes, excelling at everything from the cleanest of jazz licks, to heavy rock riffs. The AZ line embodies time-tested Ibanez innovation and player-focused features like a smooth, oval neck grip, a well-balanced asymmetrical body shape with ergonomic rear body contour, and a neck heel that allows for unrivaled playability. The AZ2204NW's Roasted Maple neck and 228-305mm Compound Radius Rosewood fretboard feature Ibanez's S-TECH special roasted treatment, which increases the wood's stability, durability, water resistance and tolerance of temperature changes. The neck is sealed with an oil finish which helps make it feel similar to a well-played guitar neck. Stainless steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment are extremely resistant to corrosion and wear and allow for effortlessly speedy riffs. An oil-impregnated bone nut enhances tuning stability, and promotes rich, warm resonance. 

As a Prestige model, the AZ2204NW combines high-tech manufacturing techniques with old-world Japanese craftsmanship, in order to achieve true innovation in design and construction, for the ultimate in Precision, Performance, and Playability. The AZ2204NW features a HSS set of Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups. These moderate output vintage-voiced pickups are perfect for incredibly responsive, bell-like cleans, but still perform under pressure when things get heavy. From treble to bass, the overall tonal balance is evenly adjusted and works well with various effect pedals. The versatility of these pickups are greatly expanded, thanks to a dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch. The dyna-MIX 9 offers nine sound variations and can easily switch between different combinations of humbucker single coils, as well as series and parallel, with the addition of the 5-way selector switch.

The AZ2204NW also features Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with height adjustable posts. These machine heads offer incredibly solid tuning stability, as well as allowing you to adjust the tension of each string. A Gotoh T1702B tremolo is responsive and extremely articulate, with a snap-in arm, resonant brass block and saddles, and a comfortable 10.5mm string spacing.
