The Hagstrom Ultra Max in Black Satin takes the compact form of the Ultra Swede and gives it extra tonal punch with a larger carved maple top and a longer 25.5" scale. Its set maple neck and Resinator fingerboard offer fast playability, while the H-Expander truss rod and Sustain Block Tailpiece ensure superb stability and extended sustain.
Equipped with two Custom 60 Alnico-5 humbuckers, this guitar delivers aggressive modern tones with impressive clarity. Each pickup has its own volume control with R/C filtering, plus a coil-split push/pull tone control for switching between humbucker bite and single-coil spank. The longer scale also helps maintain tuning stability when drop-tuned, making it ideal for hard rock and metal players needing tight response with flexible tone shaping.
