The Gotoh SG381 Vintage Button 16:1 Ratio Machineheads Gold feature Lubi-Coat technology. Lubi-Coat (solid lubrication layer) is applied to the worm to reduce the meshing clearance between the worm and the foil and minimize backlash during tuning. Furthermore, by applying a small amount of newly developed deterioration-resistant and highly lubricated oil, accuracy and durability can be maintained for a long time.

The SG381 also features Lubi-Plate technology. By applying Lubi-Plate (lubricating composite plating layer) to the worm and foil, the meshing accuracy and durability are maximized. By applying GSP * 2 (GOTOH original non-oil lubricant), its performance is further improved.

The connection between the gear and the shaft is press-fitted with the shaft fixing screw, and the shaft and the gear are integrated. Furthermore, by using elastic members for the main body plate and the cushioning part provided on the shaft, rattling is prevented. Not only is the effect of arming and choking tremendous, but there is also advanced technology that pushes the completeness of the bobbin to the utmost limit.
