Modern Les Paul Feel with Expanded Tonal Control

The Gibson Les Paul Studio Session Iguana Burst is a modern take on the Les Paul formula, built for players who want classic tone with more flexibility and a more comfortable feel. The mahogany body paired with an AA figured maple cap delivers that familiar Les Paul balance of warmth, sustain, and midrange punch, with added clarity from the maple top.

The Ultra Modern weight relief makes it noticeably lighter than a traditional Les Paul, which is a big plus for longer rehearsals or gigs. Combined with the SlimTaper neck and contoured heel, it feels faster and easier to move around the neck, especially when playing higher up.

The ‘57 Classic and ‘57 Classic+ pickups keep things in a vintage output range, but the push/pull controls open things up significantly. You can tap into leaner, brighter tones, flip phase for a more cutting sound, or engage pure bypass for a direct, uncoloured signal straight to the amp. The ebony fingerboard adds a slightly tighter, more immediate response compared to softer fretboard materials like rosewood, helping notes stay clear under both clean and driven settings.
