Left-Handed J-45 Feel with Warm Mahogany Depth and HiFi DNA Electronics

The Gibson J-45 Standard HiFi DNA Left-Handed in Heritage Cherry Sunburst is built around the round-shoulder dreadnought shape that gives the model its full, balanced voice. A solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides sit over traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, producing warm mids, tight punchy bass and strong projection. There is enough dynamic headroom for harder rhythm playing, but the guitar still responds clearly when you ease back into lighter accompaniment.

Its mahogany SlimTaper neck gives the fretting hand a leaner profile to work with, matched to a 628.65 mm (24.75") scale and 304.8 mm (12") rosewood fingerboard radius. Twenty standard frets and mother-of-pearl dot inlays keep the layout straightforward. The strings run across a black TUSQ nut to a traditional rosewood belly-up bridge with TUSQ saddle and bridge pins, while Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons take care of tuning.

Baggs HiFi DNA electronics use two lightweight sensors on the internal bridge plate rather than relying on a single under-saddle element. Each sensor feeds a dedicated custom-voiced Class A preamp before the pair is blended, allowing more of the soundboard’s movement and body resonance to reach the amplified signal. The result is designed to preserve the difference between a soft picked passage and a heavy strum, with volume and tone controls positioned inside the soundhole.
